    how my journey started

Post  Auras on Sat Feb 01, 2014 5:15 pm

Before I start my story. I would like to say it took me 3-4 Years to learn to meditate.

One time ago I was interested in witchcraft and spells. I had lot's of help of people. But when it came to actually practising this branch. I got told I had to learn to meditate. At the time I let my ego get the better of me, I did not like meditation, but I knew I had to learn it to so I could reach My desired result. I began practising meditation, I really hated it, it got me really angry and frustrated, Feeling help-less. At the time obviously that was going to be my reaction. Over-time I kept trying and trying, but really, what was my goal? was it to enter a meditative state? clear my mind. Now, at the time i did not know what my goal was. I would just sit there for 5-10 mins and go with the flow.

I studied meditation, I studied different exercises, now the problem with me was that i was using an exercise that did not suit my needs. I was using a breathing meditation (Recommended for beginners). Now, after time of using the breathing meditation(s) I realise that I could only go into a deep relaxation state. So, therefore I decided to think deeper and deeper, studying and studying. One day I found the a great technique that really suited me. That technique was the power of Visualisation. What I did was, get in a nice and relaxed state at first by using the breathing method and once I was relaxed I would visualise a imaginary scene(I mainly visualise a forest with a waterfall) and what I did was is shut out whatever was on the physical plane and drawn in deeper to myself. I would feel my imaginary place. I would hear the waterfall, I would feel my feel on the ground. Ect. By doing that I would enter a light meditative state in seconds. I did have a positive outlook towards meditation, but that outlook changed by all of the experience I was having.

Along my meditative journey It has lead to me writing this out.

There are two main things you need.
    ~Patience~
    ~Practice~

I know a lot of people on Spiritual Forums Have made threads about not being able to meditate. All I have to say it to just keep going because one day you will look back and say to yourself. "I am glad I never gave up"

Take this Story as a lesson.

Yes,have read those threads on SF.    I feel the most important part of meditation is relaxation....which I find very hard to do...

I don't have any problem with the breathing side of it....
Though like you I couldn't concentrate at first.    Then I noticed a light spot coming nearer to me,watched it and then I would hear spirit....
