    Over the last few months I haven't been able to sleep the full night through.
    Nothing worrying me just finding the lack of sleep is now affecting me.

    Awake at about 4am each morning.  Usual routine,up have a cuppa and back to bed where I fall again into a restless sleep.

    Last night I thought I would try an old exercise I was shown years ago.
    It is not a meditation....
    It is an exercise by exercising the body while lying down.

    Briefly by stretching the limbs.   
    Tensing each part of the body then letting go,from the toes upwards to the head.
    Also in my sleepless nights I seem to have lost contact with spirit.

    I suppose in my lack of sleep,spirit may not have been able to get through.
    I felt fully relaxed afterwards and fell into a lovely relaxed sleep.
    Just before though happened though,I heard a little voice say in my ear....
    'That's better,Joan!'.

    They're back.....:yeeess:

    As long as your in a relaxed state you're capable of so muuch.

    Aww how sweet, lol.

    Try not to drink tea? maybe keeps you up? get mind thinking etc?

    Or try herbal tea? twinnings lavender is nice and calming.

    Actually I only drink a glass of water before bed.   
    Still,going to try another 'stretch out'  tonight.
    First good sleep I've had in a while.....no rushing out of bed tomorrow either....

    have you tried mixing a few drops of Lavender with water in a small spray bottle.. shakng the bottle and then spraying a few times in your bedroom before you settle in your bed?.. 
    The lavender can be very relaxing also.:bfs:

    Sorting my bedroom cabinet out the day,I found a full bottle of concentrated lavender.......:asmile:    Forgot I had it...will try that tonight....
