I cant seem to find a sub-forum for archaeological finds in the news so...a thread instead.

A 900,000 year old stone aged map was found....it measures 4 1/2 inches long and deatils much of Europe.

very interesting find Mr. Whitmore !

Not to distract from the historical map itself, but when I clicked on the first link and saw the picture without all the writing......

I saw the figure of a man, can you see his face ? He is facing to the left.  It looks like he has a hood on, which if you look closer it looks like a snake on his head, you can see the snake's face, an eye and teeth. To the left of the snake I see a dove, if you look sideways. And if you look at the overall picture at a quick glance I see a German bear, like one that is found on flags.

Can you see any of this ?

I love anything under History.      No matter what type of history it is.
