    Trapped Between Two Worlds.

Post  SpiritVoices on Mon May 20, 2013 11:41 am

What would be your reaction if after bodily death, you find yourself trapped between two worlds?

Not quite in spirit and not quite in the physical?

Are you speaking of earthbound spirits?

If so, as long as I was not trapped in a particular spot (as many are), I would spend a long time visiting everyplace I could think of.

No,not earth bound exactly (my mistake) but find after passing to spirit they are alone. No one to meet them,in a strange place they do not understand. Especially if no knowledge of an afterlife. What it would feel like to feel utterly lost. Where would they go and how would they feel?

I do believe they have rescue mediums or folks trained in rescue work.

Otherwise what could they possibly do to help themselves?

Hi Joanie I imagine that would be quite frightening and confusing.

I would imagine if you still retained your human memories you would probably be like the movie, Ghost.. Dead, and not really knowing much about it. Until you figured it out.

It is from my understanding that there is always someone there for an individual when they pass. If you read the books, Learning from the Light by Dr. Lerma, he details such encounters from experiences of working in a hospice. It has also been said souls that don't need it, may not have anyone around..

But if your question was more hypothetical in nature, of what would I do... I'd probably be ok with it. I would probably still go around at first like I would if I were still living. Until I made the connection that I had indeed died. I would then try and see if I could figure out why I was still tethered to the earth plane, and not crossing over.

I think people who believe what we do would fare better than those who don't.

That makes a lot of sense,Innerlight. Something you said there struck a cord.If we had died without realising wouldn't we have noticed the difference between us and those who were still living?
Wouldn't we realise that those living wouldn't be able to see us? Maybe hear us if they could 'hear' spirit. There would something or someone who could help us.
That sounds an interesting book, must take the name down and look for it....Cheers

I would imagine, you would notice right away that you were dead. There would not be much of a time for you to not notice. After all, your human faculties would no longer serve you. So you would no longer be able to walk like you normally would. As everything would be more mental than physical. Much like if you were astral projecting. You'd have to think yourself to move. Your senses would be more heightened, and you more than likely would not see in the same way you would normally. Eventually when we tried to talk to someone that didn't respond. Even if we tried to poke them with our arms, we'd realize something was a miss.

Of course that is all just conjecture on my part. Being living and all.

You are right,Innerlight. Have you ever read the book titled 'What Dreams May Come?'
By Richard Mathieson. Fantastic, taken off facts about the spirit world.
A guy dies in an accident,in hospital, wanders the wards wondering what has happened to him. Wondering why no one can see him.
I do agree with you, there would be certain things which would make us wonder why or what had happened. Travel by thought eh? Wonderful

To understand and discuss a subject it is important to come to common terms. I would call this, where we are a reality, and where we go after death a realm.
And there are many realms. For example, the angelic realm, the realm of the Fae, and so on. They are often layered across each other, or alongside each other, depending.
We come into existence through a particular realm, depending on our original energy signature. This will determine who and what we are within the All or the One. Our function so to speak. We can choose to come into a realm, a physical life, in order to to learn and develop, but we don't have to.
Realms are constructed, the framework by what I call the master builders, and the details inside this frame work by those who take part in the game of physicality.
To come back to the original question: What would be your reaction if after bodily death, you find yourself trapped between two worlds?
My answer would be, this is not possible.
At the point of death, death of the physical body, we enter what I call the non-physical earth realm. We as spirits can get stuck there if we are not aware.
What ever we belief we will find there. If we are aware and well balanced we most likely move to what I know as the astral realm, ( not on or near this planet)
Many talk about a tunnel, or the bridge of flower, or many other name. When we cross from the non-physical earth realm to the astral realm we download all our experiences of our last life time into a record bank. And we, spirit are free of all influences of our last or any life time. We remember but we are not influenced any longer. There can be distortions in our energy systems but those distortions will be healed when we get to the astral realm.
Any incarnates from the angelic or Fae realm go to their respective realms in between life times.

add: Yes, there are multiple layers of what loosely is called the spirit world, but stuck between the physical and the non physical? no

The Astral realm I know of,I know there are numerous realms or planes as they are sometimes called.
Many more as we climb upwards as we progress.
I did have a chart once showing all these realms. Unfortunately lost it.

There are also lower realms I believe. For those who have not done well in previous lives i'e. Cruelity, bad management of lives etc.

What I am very interested in, is the bridge we cross when we leave for the spirit world.
Some describe a bridge or tunnel (like you mentioned) a river,a field and on and on.
What if for some reason we find once we leave this earthly domain, something blocks us from entering spirit?
Not that I have heard of anything like this before. Often dreaming of family or friends who have passed into spirit,I find there is always an obstruction between them and me.

Per example....a fence, garden,a half open door,a river etc.
I assume that is the barrier between spirit and the physical.
I also assume if in time,I find I can surmount that obstruction,I am legally classed as deceased....
