    Which goddesses do you worship?

Post  Naiwen on Wed Feb 15, 2012 2:56 am

I idolize Issis, and some other pagan goddesses, like the moon goddess, mother nature and some egyptian goddesses as I'm deeply into egytian myths.

Hi Naiwen, I must admit that I don't really worship any goddess as such. I have a liking like you for Isis and some of the other Egyptian goddess who I find really fascinating, but not one that I find I could worship.

The word worship never seems to depart from my mind and into speech or writing in an easy way. I am however rather reverent in the company of Kokumthena, our grandmother spirit and she is never far away.

In my early twenties I connected quite strongly with Diana. I'm not sure if that's the identity I gave to my guide before I really understood about guides. I never really worshipped her however as just spoke with her... worshipping doesn't come naturally to me. It's kinda baffling actually

Mmmm - Not sure I totally agree with you there, eyeopen. Perhaps it's more that I'm reading your statment as suggesting that we as people are always worshipping something with no break. I think though you can go through long periods where you have no particular want and/or need to worship.

As to the original question... I don't worship any Goddesses, yet the notion of a female deity is in some ways a more pleasant one than the concept of 'God' as being masculine.

I agree, and as for me well I do have some one very special and close to me, lol, wont say who though. Although you have to also remember the Gods and Goddesses have many names and many forms.

I don't worship anyone or anything. Through worship you give away your energy. Nothing of the light wants to be worshipped. So, if someone truly worships someone, something, a god perhaps, the question arises, whom do they give their energy to? A creator does not need our worship or energy.
Just my thoughts on worship this early in the morning.

I read some where actually heard that words are words, actions speak louder than words, eg I bought a photo frame to put a special picture in it, its beautiful, its got spirals in silver, lol bought from tescos, but heart said do it so I did, although its damaged and have to buy another, guess thats a test. But yes doing things is worth more, however I think statements to ones self is important too.

I am however a Hindu, and although I didnt believe, or rather udnerstand shall I say as I have developed spiritually I have learned the truths behind my religion. So yes I do worship Gods and Goddesses but its different to how others do, however I tend to do things in circles!

I don't belief actions speak at all, words on the other hand can be made to speak. ( I know it was an idiom)
Where I wanted to get is, actions or words in itself mean very little. One can blabber words, or jump up and down, with out purpose, both will achieve very little.
It is the intent behind either of them that make the difference.
If you like to know what intent can achieve, perhaps study the Maharishi Effect. I am not a friend of anything that comes from India. Not that I don't recognize the history behind those great religions, but unfortunately their truth is buried under more the ten thousand years of mud and debris.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi seamed to have discovered or preserved some of the old wisdom and power/strength of the old.
There is a god within each of us, discovering it, is the one aim everyone should have.

The life energy beyond the separation of form is but a 'feeling of love' and being a feeling it has no shape or colour or size or matter or sound or odour or substance. And so it is neither male (god) or female (goddess) as these are creations of the divided mind and held within the thought of separation, as is the notion of worship, How can you worship what you are part of, or why ? except that you don't believe or know that you are.

Wow you believe that many? Im confused as to what Angelman said, Angelman so you dont worship no gods then ? You think its not worth it?
I thought the form of worship was made to connect to soem one something, or rather a way to conenct, eg people who worship is rather adoration and giving love therefore open to receiving it? wich is are both feelings rite?

Could it be you dont understand them properly for what they really are? Eg like most hindus? The religion has alot of methaphors and well untill you know the spiritual side of things, it kind make sense to the intelligent man.
