    I don't think I'm meditating properly..

    When I do guided meditations I usually see myself in third person, like when they say "Imagine yourself walking on a beach" or whatever, it's like I'm looking down on myself from somewhere. This is also how I dream and even daydream. Does anyone have any tips to make myself look through my own eyes? And, everything is always very blurry in meditations. :/ I'd appreciate any advice to help me meditate better..

    Hi Songbird as far as i'm aware there is no wrong or right way, meditation is very unique to each individual, I think it's just a case of finding what's right for you,
    it's like I'm looking down on myself from somewhere
    this has happened to me in dreams and visions but not meditations (not that I can think of immediately) others may be able to guide/advise you with this, perhaps the blurriness is something to do with the looking down from outside?

    If this is how you dream and daydream than I would say then you are meditating just right. You will meditate, dream/day dream, in a way that is comfortable and familiar to you. If that is how you do it then that is how you will do it. Do not do or find a way that is tantamount to you. Work with what works for you. In time you may learn to focus differently if that is what you chose. For now I would go with the experience that you are having and allow yourself to enjoy and be one with the stillness.
