    Copper and its Properties

Post  Lynn on Mon Mar 07, 2011 6:25 pm

When one looks to the history of Copper ye can go to Egypt in about 3500BC. Too the use dates back farther than even that. Its first use was in cooking pots, and it is still an element used today in cooking pots. It too was used in the making of jewelry and other ornamental items. Later to be combined with Tin to start man down what is called the Bronze Age.

It is interesting that many Christian rituals called for the use of Copper. ( I will post on that in the Christianity Section ) .

The properties of Copper that make it useful in protections are similar to that of Cold and Silver in that they all have a very high thermal and electrical conduct level. Too they are metals that are easily worked.

Where Copper ties to Spiritual beliefs is maybe for the properties of being able to conduct both electricity and heat. It is said to be a powerful amplifier when sending and receiving messages on the Psychic levels. It is often used with crystals or as a part of a wand where a crystal is incorporated. Often ties the stone to the shaft . Copper too is popular in its use for healings.

If one looks at Copper from the healing aspects one finds it said to promote the connections of the Mind to the Body. Often worn to help ease mensal cramps or leg cramps at night. Also said to work with the glands and joints to ease calcifications.

From the psychic view point Copper is said to stimulate the flow of energy, the aid in the communications, channeling and cleansing processes .

From the point of use for protections of property it helps to balance the energies. It had directional properties as well as protective and healing properties. Copper is a receptor, so when used in the shape of a ring and having Sea Salt place in that ring ( Sea Salt said to have the property of clearing negativity) and water poured over it . ( as the companion element for Copper is Water ). Added with a blessing or prayer over the property it creates an invisible seal around the property.

One will use it in the FOUR corners of the property, placing it just under the soil level and combing the Ring of Copper Wire, the Sea Salt, Water, and reading or burning of the blessing over it. Some feel that once read the Blessing or Prayer is heard louder and clearer if burned an the ashes spread over the spot. I have done both. Too some use Holy Water if that goes to one’s faith.
