Clock for a year after Death

Post  SpiritVoices on Wed Feb 02, 2011 6:14 pm

Simple little story but very true.
When we were married my mother bought a beautiful brass clock as a wedding present.
It was a mantel clock beautifully engraved and worked on batteries.
Hubby loved this clock and cleaned the brass regularly,so it shone.
The batteries usually lasted a year. The day after he passed,it stopped.
Batteries had just been replaced a few days before. I took them out thinking perhaps they were duds and replaced them with two new batteries again.
The clock refused to go,went out and bought new batteries.
Still the clock would not work so took it down to the jewelers.
It was checked and he said there was nothing wrong with the clock.
I gave up and left it,leaving it where it stood on top of the unit.
A year later on the anniversary of his death,I happened to look up at it and there it was ticking away!
Same batteries from a year ago!
    Could be a coincidence,I really don't know.

    Hello Joanie
For my part there is no such thing as coincidence!
The one thing I have learned on my spiritual pathway is that there is a reason for everything.
I think you know the reason behind your tale, but you do not have the confidence to grasp the truth.
Peace, Patience, Love, Light and much Laughter dear lady

    Thank you,Peter.
I suppose I knew in my heart that I was left a message that he was still existing somewhere but not on this physical plane.

    hello,
i think peter is right, as he often is.
this reminds me of that song "my grandfather's clock" and beats the hell out of my uni lecturer's tale of her father sending her mother a dozen red roses every year. the woman was cut up that it wouldn't happen again, but as the man knew he was dying, he set an order one last time to come when he would be gone.
your husband is an advanced soul and able to leave messages. he wanted to remind you that he loves you and not to worry.
