    Coots Nests 2010

Post  wyldeflower on Mon Apr 19, 2010 2:58 pm

I follow the local nests every year and this nest allready has babys in it but they are tucked down really low you can see the mother passing food into the nest ,,Sadly the Heron will eat them all when the are bigger he is allready hanging around.I have another nest but its hard to view as its in reeds hidden by a shrub.I will bring you more photos soon asthe babys will appear when they are a bit older.

The Heron will eat them? That's awful, but I know a lot of baby water birds don't make it, rats mainly but herons.....
