flash of light?

Post  Trina on Wed Nov 02, 2016 9:47 pm

Hi.. about six years ago i was on a healing site regular, we used to have healing nights, we did this a couple of times a week sending out healing thoughts to everyone around the world including ourselves but this one night I had just finished the session and as i turned off the computer  and turned off the light I turned to get undressed ready for bed and this flash of light surrounded me, it was so strange, felt like I had been x-rayed, as quick as it came it went, I was left bewildered, I feel like I was visited that night, by who'm or what I am not sure, has anyone else ever experienced anything like this or can give me any explanation, I would be interested to find out..  Thanks :)

Spirit Mountain did that to me once. It was some kind of Paranormal Entity.

I've felt healing energies or spirit in different ways, but it's the joy and beauty of the experience (that you describe) that I recognise as healing energy - however it comes. Beyond that recognition, I tend not to analyse what or whom too much - people fill in the gaps with different beliefs and so be it, but its the healing that really counts, whatever it may be o wherever it may originate.

Do you still do healing?

Yes I agree with you, I just had never experienced anything like that before and haven't since, yes i still do healing, my grandma did healing too and so did my grandad and his parents before that, my grandma's healing was very different from mine, she would have my spirit guides come through and talk to me, and at the end I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, It was truly amazing, if i could ever be like her, I would be happy, unfortunately she passed away last year and I also moved and there doesn't seem to be much in this new area for spiritual practises and so i do it online but wish i could find something again. :)

There are always opportunities for healers in the Spiritualist church/centre network, and we have them even in deepest, darkest Derbyshire!

I don't think it would much matter whether you're a committed Spiritualist or a non-believer in that philosophy provided you were able to bring a measure of healing-help to those needing it.

Having said that, however, a church/centre committee might see matters differently!  You'd need to ask.

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandma's passing.

Like your signature says about discovering strength when you have to, perhaps a lack of healing groups in your area may lead to discovering the joy of working with healing energies by yourself. The right thing will turn up when you need it.

Hi Mac, I haven't lived in Derbyshire long and the only thing nearest to me is like an annex but I have never seen it open, I am sure there are more around I will have to keep my eyes open..  :)

Hi Blueanchor, thank you for your comment, I have worked alone for a while with my healing energies, I have done Reiki healing and now I would like to further it more to spiritual healing, I am a firm believer of what you say though and things will turn up when the time is right..  :)

I don't know where Reiki healers prefer to work but there may be commercial centres that would provide you a suitable room.  There's also a wide network of Spiritualist churches/centres that might be suitable. Regular healing days/evenings are a feature of many if not most. I hope you find what you'd like.

my pleasure  :hugz: There's Chesterfield too, a church I used to attend many years ago but Ripley's church is nice too, quite small I think.  I live in next-door Nottinghamshire, NG19

I hope you find what you need there. I hope you will let us know how it goes though - the church does have it's own way of healing that they teach and that suits some people, whereas others leave because their development takes them a different way and the church doesn't allow those individual ways. It's just something to be aware of.

I did mention earlier there may be commercial locations where reiki could be offered.  That way there would be no constraint on one's personal approach and a charge for one's service could be made.

The Spiritualist church was simply one location that might be a possibility for offering healing intercession.  I'm not familiar with the way a church/centre organises its healing days/evenings but in my town's church no charge was ever made for healing.  I'm guessing that's the way at SNU churches generally but I don't know that.

I suppose that would be a problem for anyone intending to charge for their services.

Yes I saw that one too, Perhaps I should go and see both,  the one in Ripley that I saw, I thought it was abandoned, it looked a bit run down, so, good to know it's not. my grandma stopped going to church as she was old school, they wanted her to have certificates to prove she was a healer and she point blank refused, can't say as i blame her as she had the gift, naturally and didn't see why she had to have a piece of paper to say she did..

Thank you Blueanchor, I will let you know how it goes, I did try and gp for spiritual healing at the church I went in Leicester, there was a waiting list and they seemed reluctant to let me do it, whether it was because I did Reiki but I felt like they frowned up on it.. might have just been that particular group of people I don't know but it put me off attending, I would do Healing for free..

Although I'm a long-time Spiritualist I'm not a churchgoer so I don't actually know the situation but I'd guess that reiki isn't a routine healing mode there.  But quite how any kind of healer can demonstrate their efficacy I don't know and reiki may be as effective as any other form of healing.

Ye, they seem not to keen on it, not against it but it's not the healing form they want, I can only speak for myself on Reiki, I have given my partner Reiki who had a long term kidney stones called cystine urea, not sure how it spelt..lol but he was in and out of hospital till he met me, I gave him Reiki and he hasn't been to hospital since, that was 5 years ago.. he's had no stones, he'd had it for 20 years and my dog, she had something wrong, vets didn't know what it was, she was 5 and her back legs didn't work right, they did all the tests and couldn't find anything, they put it down to old dog syndrome and said I should put her down, I refused and she was with me till last year when she finally had a stroke but she had a good innings.. she was 14 ,so for me, it works..  :)

I know other reiki healers.  They're as dedicated, enthusiastic and committed as you.  For my money it's not the technique that matters but the outcome....
