    Introducing myself!

Post  OxytocinKat on Sat Jan 16, 2016 1:27 am

    Hello everyone!

My name's Katrine, I'm 23 years young and from Denmark.
I joined this forum because I'm very interested in spirituality, an interest with roots in experiences with involuntary astral projection. I'm also very much interested in religion although I don't identify as religious.
I consider myself a seeker of truth, as I feel there's a thick veil distorting everything and keeping us from -something-. I'm sick of corruption and being lied to.

I look forward to spending some time on here and learning through you guys, and possibly make some new friends - who knows.
    Peace and love :daisy:

welcome - I hope you find here some of what you're looking for.  I admire your great command of written English.  :asmile:  I don't think we've had any visitors from your neck of the woods.  I'll be interested in hearing what you have to tell us about you Astral visits and what they mean to you.

I'm confident you won't be lied to here although I can't promise how much of 'the truth' any of us will be able to offer.  We humans see only snippets of the overall picture and must work towards being as sure as we can that what we do know is based on something substantial.

Thank you all for welcoming me, I appreciate it.

First of all, Mac, don't admire my English, that's just ignorant. But thank you for the good intention, I suppose, and the lovely comment.

To Crystal: I've used this as a username for some years now on different sites. I just remember learning about the hormone in biology class, and I found it fascinating how it makes us bond and feel close with other people. One could say it's my favorite hormone. Hah. I later on learned that it's used as a drug, I'd like to point out that that has nothing to do with why I chose it.

    Welcome Katrine.

Lovely to have you here with us.

Searching for our truth, for answers, and being curious is such a high frequency pathway in life.  We are very likely to all be in different places, and yet at the same time on a similar route.

I hope that you enjoy the journey , and find friends with whom to share.

In English 'ignorant' means 'not knowing' but colloquially it's often used to mean 'bad mannered'.  I hope you didn't mean what you said in either way?  Perhaps you didn't realise I meant my remark as a complement about your language skills?

I admire anyone with the ability to write and speak well, especially so those who are proficient in a language that is not their first one, the language they speak/use day-to-day.

It would be interesting to hear what you've experienced and learned from your Astra travels.  Maybe you'd like to start a thread explaining it?

I am pretty sure that Oxytocin's main use in the UK is to stimulate labour and bring on childbirth that's what made me ask, as I was given it.

To Mac: Yes, ignorant means not knowing, which I know. And you seem unaware that basically the only people in Scandinavia who can't speak English are those under the age of 6. I don't consider your comment a compliment because it only tells me you're ignorant of the beforementioned reality. My English skills, both written and spoken, are very average for a Scandinavian. It's nothing personal, I didn't consider you bad mannered. And I sure will start a thread with my astral experiences, that's actually the main reason I joined here! :)

To Crystal: Oxytocin is a natural occuring hormone, it's released when a mother breastfeeds, during sex, as a result of long hugs and regular touching etc. I actually didn't know it was used in the way you describe, interesting.

I don't live in, and have never visited, any Scandinavian countries and was unaware - ignorant - that only sub six year olds don't have fluency in English.

You may take my remark in whatever way you wish but it was genuinely meant as a complement simply because I didn't know that all-but-children in your country had such fluency in English.

I remain interested to read what you have to tell us about your Astral travels.

Hi Katrine, welcome aboard this fine forum.

You are so right seeing that there is much untruth in this world, and its covering up something that goes way deep. Something tells me that you are among those who have a mission in helping to unearth the truth and setting this world free of the old oppressive paradigms.

Of course children at that age aren't fluent in English. My point was just that they do speak the language to some extent, as that's when they start learning. I work as a substitute teacher, and I mainly substitute in 0.-2. grade. I ensure you, there are some bright kids with whom you can have a simple conversation with in English, despite their very young age. They also frequently use the language with each other.

I had no idea so many Scandinavians were so proficient in English.  I did sincerely mean my earlier remark in a complimentary way but now I'm wishing I'd said nowt after bluntly being told I'm ignorant.  *hurt£

I do accept I'm ignorant about many issues but I doubt that's so very different from most other regular guys and gals.  *hurt£

I am sorry Mac, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I'll admit I have some issues with Americans, I become to easily offended with you guys. Once a man asked me if I used Google Translate since my English was so good, and I was like "Bitch, my English is way better than the crappy translations Google Translate comes up with" lol, well inside my head at least. That comment really didn't sit well with me. It's like a lot of you guys forget that pretty much all non-English speaking countries teach English as well, not only the native tongue. It shouldn't be impressive to you, it's the norm. Like I said in my first response, I do know you meant well. Let's just forget about it all :flo:

Well I can accept you've got something against Americans but I'm a Brit living in England where I pay my taxes!

I'm also someone whose interest in language and communication goes back quite a few decades!  I worked in special needs support for the last ten years of my working life specialising in the basics - reading, writing, spelling, arithmetic.  So language for me is a big deal!

That's why you'll see me using Brit English for the Brits, Europeans, Aussies, Kiwis (and now Scandinavians) and American English for the Yanks. Probably missed by most folk I'd guess....
